Camera Obscura
A camera obscura is an optical device that illustrates how images are formed. It consists of a darkened room or box with a small hole (aperture) on one side. Light from outside passes through this hole and projects an inverted image of the outside scene onto the opposite surface inside the box. This phenomenon occurs because light travels in straight lines. The camera obscura has been used historically for artistic purposes and played a significant role in the development of photography, demonstrating the principles of how cameras capture images today.
