Calendar Round

The Calendar Round is a system used by the ancient Maya to track time. It combines two cycles: a 260-day ritual calendar called the Tzolk'in and a 365-day solar calendar known as the Haab'. Together, these cycles create a unique combination of days, repeating every 52 years. Each day has a specific name from the Tzolk'in and Haab', allowing the Maya to record dates and events accurately. This method helped the Maya organize their agricultural, religious, and cultural activities, reflecting their complex understanding of time and seasons.
