C. Rajagopalachari, often referred to as Rajaji, was a prominent Indian leader and politician born in 1878 and died in 1972. He was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and played a significant role in the Indian independence movement. Rajagopalachari was the first Indian Governor-General of independent India and later became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He was known for his integrity, leadership, and literary contributions, including the popularization of the Bhagavad Gita.
