BTK inhibitors

BTK inhibitors are a type of targeted therapy used primarily in the treatment of certain blood cancers, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. They work by blocking Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK), an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the survival and proliferation of malignant B cells. By inhibiting this enzyme, the drugs help slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells, making it easier for the body to control the disease. This approach is generally more effective and has different side effects compared to traditional chemotherapy.
