Brain MRI
A Brain MRI, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a medical imaging technique that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed pictures of the brain and its structures. Unlike X-rays or CT scans, MRIs do not use ionizing radiation, making them safer for repeated use. Doctors use brain MRIs to diagnose various conditions, including tumors, brain injuries, and neurological disorders. The process involves lying still inside a large, tube-shaped machine for about 20 to 60 minutes. The images produced help doctors assess brain health and make informed treatment decisions.
