Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique that uses strong magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of organs and tissues inside the body. When you lie inside the MRI machine, the strong magnetic field aligns hydrogen atoms in your body. Radiofrequency pulses then temporarily disturb this alignment. As the atoms return to their original state, they emit signals that are captured and transformed into images by a computer. Unlike X-rays, MRI does not use ionizing radiation, making it a safe option for diagnosing various health conditions.
