Brahmo Samaj

Brahmo Samaj is a spiritual and social reform movement founded in 1828 in India by Raja Ram Mohan Roy. It aimed to promote monotheism, reject idolatry, and encourage rational thinking, education, and social change. The movement sought to Modernize Hindu society by challenging outdated practices like caste discrimination, child marriage, and idol worship, advocating instead for spiritual unity, human dignity, and scientific temper.
