Benazir Bhutto

Benazir Bhutto was a prominent Pakistani politician and the first woman to lead a Muslim-majority country as Prime Minister of Pakistan, serving two non-consecutive terms in the late 1980s and 1990s. She was a member of the Pakistan People's Party, founded by her father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Educated at Harvard and Oxford, Bhutto advocated for democratic governance, women's rights, and economic reforms. Her political career was marked by both achievements and controversies, leading to her exile and eventual return. Tragically, she was assassinated in 2007 during an election campaign, leaving a lasting impact on Pakistan's political landscape.
