Basic Law Consultative Committee

The Basic Law Consultative Committee was a group formed to advise on the drafting and implementation of the Basic Law, which serves as the constitutional document for Hong Kong after its handover from Britain to China in 1997. It aimed to ensure that the values of "one country, two systems" were reflected in the governance and legal framework of Hong Kong.
