Ban Ki-moon

Ban Ki-moon is a South Korean diplomat who served as the eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations from 2007 to 2016. In this role, he led efforts to promote peace, sustainable development, human rights, and climate action worldwide. Known for his diplomatic skills and commitment to global issues, Ban worked to coordinate international responses to crises like conflicts, pandemics, and environmental challenges. Prior to the UN, he held various positions in South Korea’s government, including Foreign Minister.
