Ballistics

Ballistics is the science that studies the movement of projectiles, such as bullets and missiles, after they are fired. It involves understanding how forces like gravity, air resistance, and wind affect the trajectory and behavior of these projectiles. There are three main branches: internal ballistics, which focuses on what happens inside the firearm as the projectile is fired; external ballistics, which examines the projectile's flight through the air; and terminal ballistics, which looks at how the projectile behaves upon impact with a target. Understanding ballistics is essential for fields like defense, law enforcement, and forensic science.
