A balancing loop is a concept in systems thinking that describes how different elements in a system work together to maintain stability. When one element changes, it triggers responses that counterbalance the initial change, keeping the system in equilibrium. For example, if a thermostat senses that a room is too cold, it turns on the heater to raise the temperature. As the room warms up, the thermostat eventually switches off the heater.
