Balaenoptera musculus

Balaenoptera musculus, commonly known as the blue whale, is the largest animal on Earth, reaching lengths of up to 100 feet and weights of around 200 tons. These magnificent marine mammals are found in oceans worldwide and are known for their striking blue-gray coloration. Blue whales primarily feed on tiny shrimp-like creatures called krill, which they consume in vast quantities by taking in water and filtering out the krill through baleen plates. Despite being enormous, they are gentle giants, famous for their deep, melodic calls that can be heard over long distances underwater.
