Blue Whale
The blue whale is the largest animal known to have ever existed on Earth. These massive marine mammals can grow up to 100 feet long and weigh as much as 200 tons or more. Blue whales are found in oceans around the world and primarily feed on tiny shrimp-like creatures called krill. They communicate using low-frequency vocalizations, which can travel long distances underwater. Despite their size, blue whales are gentle giants, often swimming alone or in small groups. Unfortunately, they are considered endangered due to past whaling practices and current threats like climate change and ship strikes.
