Bahamas

The Bahamas is an independent nation made up of many islands, located in the Caribbean Sea. As a member of the Commonwealth Realm, it recognizes the British monarch as its ceremonial head of state. This means that while the country governs itself and has its own laws, the Queen (or King) of the United Kingdom plays a symbolic role. The Bahamas has its own government, which is responsible for making decisions that affect the lives of its citizens, while maintaining ties with other Commonwealth countries that share historical and cultural connections.
