Commonwealth Realm

The Commonwealth Realm refers to a group of independent countries, mostly former British colonies, that recognize the British monarch as their ceremonial head of state. There are 15 Commonwealth Realms, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. While they each have their own governments and laws, they share a historical connection to the British crown. This relationship is largely symbolic, with the monarch's role mainly involving ceremonial functions, while day-to-day governance is handled by elected officials in each nation. The Commonwealth itself is a broader association of countries promoting cooperation and development.
