Autoritarianism

Authoritarianism is a political system in which a single leader or a small group holds significant power, limiting individual freedoms and suppressing dissent. In such regimes, the government often controls many aspects of life, including media, education, and public expression, prioritizing conformity and obedience over personal liberties. Elections, if held, may lack competitiveness and fairness. Citizens typically have little say in governance, and opposing views are often silenced. Authoritarianism can manifest in various forms, including dictatorships and military regimes, and usually thrives in environments where political pluralism is weak or absent.
