
Aurobindo Ghose
Aurobindo Ghose, commonly known as Sri Aurobindo, was an Indian philosopher, yogi, poet, and nationalist born in 1872. He played a significant role in India's struggle for independence against British rule and later became a prominent spiritual leader. After leaving politics, he developed a spiritual practice called Integral Yoga, aiming for the evolution of human consciousness. His writings explore themes of spirituality, consciousness, and the future of humanity. Aurobindo established the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Puducherry, where his teachings continue to inspire spiritual seekers and thinkers around the world. He passed away in 1950.
