Associationist Theory

Associationist Theory suggests that our knowledge and thoughts are formed through connections between ideas and experiences. When we learn something, we link it to what we already know, creating a network of associations. For example, if you learn about a dog and then see a picture of one, you might recall the sounds it makes or experiences you’ve had with dogs. This theory emphasizes that understanding and memory are enhanced by the relationships we build between different pieces of information, rather than viewing knowledge as a collection of isolated facts.
