Artaxerxes II Mnemon was a king of the Persian Empire who reigned from 404 to 358 BCE. He was the son of Artaxerxes I and known for his long rule during a time of internal strife and external conflicts, including the famous rivalry with the Greek city-states. His reign also saw the notable rebellion of his brother, Cyrus the Younger, which led to the significant battle at Cunaxa.
