ARP Spoofing

ARP spoofing is a technique used by hackers to intercept network traffic between devices on a local network. Every device on a network uses the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) to map IP addresses to MAC addresses, which are unique identifiers for hardware. In ARP spoofing, an attacker sends false ARP messages to associate their own MAC address with the IP address of another device, such as a router. This allows the attacker to capture, manipulate, or redirect data meant for that device, potentially leading to data theft or network disruption. It’s a serious security vulnerability in networks.
