Ardashir I

Ardashir I was the founder of the Sassanian Empire in Persia (now Iran) around 224 CE. He rose to power after defeating the Parthian Empire, marking a significant shift in Iranian history. Ardashir is known for his efforts to restore Persian cultural identity, particularly through Zoroastrianism, and for developing a centralized government. His reign established a dynasty that lasted for over four centuries, influencing art, architecture, and politics in the region.
