Arachnida
Arachnida is a class of arthropods that includes spiders, scorpions, ticks, and mites. These creatures typically have eight legs, a two-part body consisting of a cephalothorax (combined head and thorax) and abdomen, and no antennae. Unlike insects, which have six legs and three body parts, arachnids often play crucial roles in ecosystems as predators or decomposers. They breathe through specialized structures called book lungs or tracheae. Many arachnids can produce silk, which they use for webs, trapping prey, or other purposes, making them fascinating and diverse members of the animal kingdom.
