Anna Frank
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who went into hiding during World War II to escape the Nazis, who were persecuting Jews in Europe. She lived with her family in a secret annex in Amsterdam from 1942 to 1944. During this time, she kept a diary in which she recorded her thoughts, experiences, and hopes. After being discovered by the Nazis, Anne was deported to a concentration camp, where she died in 1945. Her diary, published posthumously as "The Diary of a Young Girl," is a powerful testament to the human spirit and the horrors of the Holocaust.
