Alberta Progressive Conservative Party
The Alberta Progressive Conservative Party was a major political party in Alberta, Canada, representing center-right values. Founded in 1905, it focused on traditional conservatism, fiscal responsibility, and economic development, supporting policies that favored business and social welfare. The party dominated Alberta politics for decades, often winning a majority of seats in the provincial legislature. Its influence began to wane in the 2010s, leading to a decline in support. In 2017, it merged with the Wildrose Party to form the United Conservative Party (UCP), which continues to represent conservative interests in the province today.
