Adjustment Disorder
Adjustment Disorder is a mental health condition that occurs when a person struggles to cope with a significant life change or stressful event, such as losing a job, going through a divorce, or experiencing a serious illness. These individuals may feel overwhelmed, sad, anxious, or experience changes in behavior. Unlike other mental health disorders, the symptoms arise in response to a specific stressor and typically improve once the person adapts to the change or the stressor is resolved. Treatment often includes therapy and support to help individuals process their feelings and develop coping strategies.
