Abdullah Gül

Abdullah Gül is a Turkish politician and co-founder of the Justice and Development Party (AKP). He served as Turkey's president from 2007 to 2014 and was the first to hold that position after the AKP won elections. Gül played a key role in modernizing Turkey's economy and promoting political reforms. He is known for his moderate Islamic views and efforts to bridge gaps between secular and religious factions in Turkey. Before his presidency, he held various government roles, including Minister of Foreign Affairs, contributing to Turkey's foreign policy and European Union integration efforts.
