Abductive Logic

Abductive logic is like educated guessing. It's a type of reasoning where you start with an observation, then seek the simplest and most likely explanation. When your internet stops working, for instance, you might guess there's a problem with your provider, as that's usually the most common cause. This doesn't prove that's the issue, but it gives a plausible starting point for understanding what's going on. This is abductive logic - making your best inference with the information available.
