2015 nuclear deal
The 2015 nuclear deal, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), was an agreement between Iran and six world powers (the US, UK, France, Germany, Russia, and China). It aimed to limit Iran's nuclear program to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons. In exchange, these nations lifted economic sanctions on Iran, allowing it to access international trade and funds. The deal included strict monitoring to ensure compliance. However, in 2018, the United States withdrew from the agreement and reimposed sanctions, leading to ongoing tensions over Iran's nuclear activities and regional stability.
