1815 Waterloo Campaign

The 1815 Waterloo Campaign was a significant military conflict that marked the end of the Napoleonic Wars. After escaping exile, Napoleon Bonaparte sought to reclaim power in France. He quickly assembled an army and faced a coalition of European forces led by the Duke of Wellington and Prussian General Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. On June 18, 1815, they clashed at the Battle of Waterloo in Belgium. Napoleon's defeat ended his rule and led to his second exile. This battle reshaped Europe, leading to a period of relative peace known as the Congress of Vienna, and established a balance of power.
