X-ray films
X-ray films are imaging tools used in medicine to capture pictures of the inside of the body. When X-rays, a type of radiation, pass through the body, they are absorbed by different tissues in varying amounts. Dense materials like bones block more X-rays and appear white on the film, while softer tissues appear darker. This contrast helps doctors diagnose fractures, infections, or tumors. Traditionally, these images were recorded on physical film, but now digital technology is often used, allowing for quicker analysis and sharing of results.
