X-ray film
X-ray film is a special type of photographic film used in medical imaging to capture images of the inside of the body. When X-rays, a form of radiation, pass through the body, they are absorbed by different tissues to varying degrees. The film darkens where the X-rays pass through, creating a visual record that shows bones, organs, and other structures. Doctors use these images to diagnose conditions, check for injuries, and monitor health. While digital X-rays are becoming more common, traditional X-ray film is still used in many settings for its simplicity and effectiveness.
