William Marston
William Marston was an American psychologist, inventor, and comic book writer, best known for creating the character Wonder Woman in the early 1940s. He developed the theory of DISC, which categorizes human behavior into four traits: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness, widely used in psychology and business. Marston was also a pioneer in the field of lie detection, inventing the systolic blood pressure test, which became the basis for the polygraph. His work combined psychology, feminism, and popular culture, leaving a lasting impact on both the comic book industry and psychological assessment tools.
