Whispering Gallery

A whispering gallery is a circular or elliptical architectural feature found in some buildings, like cathedrals and domes. It allows sound to travel along its curved walls, so a person can speak softly at one point and their voice can be heard clearly at a distant point, even if someone is not directly in line with them. This phenomenon occurs because sound waves travel along the surface, bouncing off the walls in a way that carries the sound far beyond what would be possible in a typical room. Whispering galleries often create intriguing acoustic experiences.
