Sound Wave Theory
Sound wave theory explains how sound travels through air and other media as vibrations. When an object vibrates, it creates waves of pressure that move through the surrounding medium. These waves consist of compressions (areas of high pressure) and rarefactions (areas of low pressure). Sound waves can vary in frequency (pitch) and amplitude (volume), influencing how we perceive different sounds. Acoustics is the study of these sound waves, including how they interact with environments, such as reflecting off surfaces or being absorbed by materials, which affects how we hear in various spaces.
