War Animals
War animals are animals used by military forces for various purposes during conflicts. Throughout history, animals like horses, dogs, elephants, and pigeons have played crucial roles. Horses were vital for transportation and cavalry charges; dogs have been employed for search and rescue, detection, and as sentries; elephants were used in ancient battles for their strength; and pigeons carried important messages. Their training and specialized abilities enabled them to assist soldiers and improve communication. While technology has largely replaced many of these roles, the historic contributions of war animals remain significant in military history.
