Voter Initiative
A voter initiative is a process that allows citizens to propose new laws or amendments to existing laws directly. To initiate this process, a group of voters must gather a specific number of signatures in support of the proposal. Once enough valid signatures are collected, the initiative is placed on the ballot for the next election. If a majority of voters approve it, the proposed measure becomes law. This mechanism empowers citizens to influence legislation and is often used to address issues that may not be prioritized by lawmakers.
