Initiative Measure

An Initiative Measure is a tool that allows citizens to propose new laws or amendments to existing laws. Typically, a group of individuals gathers enough signatures from registered voters to put their proposal on the ballot. If enough valid signatures are collected, the measure is presented for a vote in an upcoming election. If the majority of voters approve it, the measure becomes law. This process empowers citizens to directly influence legislation and address issues they care about, bypassing traditional legislative routes.
