Von Braun (Wernher)
Wernher von Braun was a German-American aerospace engineer and space architect, known for his significant contributions to rocket technology and space exploration. Originally a key figure in Germany's WWII V-2 rocket project, he moved to the United States after the war. In NASA, he played a central role in developing the Saturn V rocket, which enabled the Apollo moon landings. Von Braun's vision for space travel included missions to Mars. Although praised for his scientific achievements, his past ties to the Nazi regime and use of forced labor in his early work have stirred ethical debates surrounding his legacy.
