Villismo
Villismo refers to a revolutionary movement in Mexico led by General Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). Villa was a charismatic leader who championed agrarian reform and sought justice for the poor, particularly in northern Mexico. His followers, known as Villistas, fought against both the oppressive regimes and landowners. Villa's tactics included guerrilla warfare and he became a symbol of resistance. Although he is often romanticized, his legacy is complex, encompassing both heroic and controversial aspects of his actions and leadership during a time of significant social and political upheaval in Mexico.
