Uwe Barschel

Uwe Barschel was a German politician who served as the Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein from 1982 until 1987. He was a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party. Barschel became embroiled in a political scandal involving allegations of corruption and illegal activities, particularly related to a political rivalry with the opposing Social Democratic Party. In September 1987, he was found dead in a hotel bathtub under mysterious circumstances, which led to widespread speculation and conspiracy theories. His death remains officially unresolved, marking a significant and controversial moment in German political history.
