USS Oklahoma (BB-37)
USS Oklahoma (BB-37) was a battleship of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1916 and known for its participation in both World War I and World War II. It was one of the few battleships to survive the interwar period, but it gained infamy during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. During the attack, Oklahoma was struck by torpedoes and capsized, resulting in significant loss of life. The ship was later salvaged and decommissioned in 1944. Its legacy includes the sacrifice of its crew and its role in shaping naval warfare strategies.
