USS Maryland (BB-46)
USS Maryland (BB-46) was a battleship of the United States Navy, launched in 1920 and commissioned in 1921. She was part of the Colorado class, designed for naval warfare with heavy armor and powerful armament, including 16-inch guns. Maryland served in key battles during World War II, most notably in the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, where she was damaged but remained operational. After extensive repairs, she continued to engage in naval operations in the Pacific theater.
