Untouchables

The Untouchables were a group of law enforcement officers in the United States during the early 20th century, best known for their efforts to combat organized crime, particularly gangster Al Capone in Chicago. Led by Eliot Ness, they aimed to bring law and order by enforcing Prohibition laws, often operating outside traditional police channels due to the corruption and violence they faced. Their name, “Untouchables,” symbolized their reputation for integrity and their refusal to be corrupted by the criminal underworld. They played a significant role in shaping crime-fighting strategies and public perceptions of law enforcement.
