UAE Federal National Council
The UAE Federal National Council (FNC) is the advisory parliamentary body of the United Arab Emirates. Established in 1971, it consists of 40 members, half of whom are elected by citizens and half appointed by the rulers of the seven emirates. The FNC reviews and discusses proposed laws, government policies, and issues affecting the country, providing feedback to the federal government. While it does not have legislative power to make laws, its role is crucial in representing the interests of the people and enhancing political participation within the framework of the UAE's governance.
