Tutsi
The Tutsi are an ethnic group primarily found in Rwanda and Burundi, known historically for their pastoralist lifestyle and cattle herding. They are one of the region's main communities, alongside the Hutu and Twa. Socially, they were traditionally more privileged and held leadership positions, which contributed to regional and historical tensions. Over time, these divisions played a significant role in conflicts, including the Rwandan Genocide in 1994. Today, the Tutsi continue to maintain their cultural identity, and many are involved in politics, business, and community life in their home countries.
