Trojan War
The Trojan War was a legendary conflict in ancient Greek mythology, primarily described in Homer's epic poems, the "Iliad" and the "Odyssey." It is said to have taken place around the 12th century BCE between the city of Troy and Greek kingdoms. The war began after Paris, a Trojan prince, abducted Helen, the wife of the Greek king Menelaus. The Greeks launched a massive siege to retrieve her, which lasted ten years. The war ended with the clever use of the wooden horse, allowing Greek soldiers to enter and conquer Troy. The tale explores themes of love, honor, and revenge.
