Triumvirate

A triumvirate is a political arrangement where three individuals share leadership and power, often to govern a country or organization. Historically, it has been used to describe alliances in which these three leaders collaborate to make decisions and maintain control, balancing each other’s influences. The term is most famously associated with ancient Rome, where three men—like Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus—formed a ruling coalition known as the First Triumvirate. Such arrangements can help break deadlocks or consolidate power, but they can also lead to shifting alliances and rivalries.
