Transitional Stage

The Transitional Stage in the Demographic Transition Model occurs when a country experiences a significant decline in death rates due to improvements in healthcare, sanitation, and nutrition, while birth rates remain high. This leads to rapid population growth. Families often still have many children, but with better living conditions, fewer infants die. As a result, society begins to change, and people become more aware of family planning. This stage lays the groundwork for future changes in both birth and death rates as the society evolves economically and socially.
