Time-based One-time Password (TOTP) is a security feature that generates a temporary, unique code for user authentication. It works by using the current time and a secret key shared between the user and the service. Every 30 seconds, a new code is created, ensuring that it changes regularly and can only be used once. This adds an extra layer of security beyond just a password, making it harder for unauthorized users to access accounts.
